Hey Joe!! So sorry for the delay in response!
Things have been crazy on AAPK and that’s where most of my computer time gets used!
Fred landed here in 1903 at about 11 years old and his first official work was with J.M. Schmidt in Peovidence and from there the family moved to Windsted. Conn., and he worked for Empire Knife for many years. In 1914, he joined Miller Bros. Cutlery in Meriden, Conn.
So he was in his late teanage and early 20’s way before Colonial was incorporated in 1926.
Cool picture, Bobby! Hey, how old was grandpa Fredrick when he arived in the US? ….. Joe
